Franktown is a small and peaceful community in a majestic location. Situated in Douglas County, Franktown has a population of 395. The town sits about 15 minutes south of Parker and 15 minutes east of Castle Rock.
Local Whispering Pines Park on eight acres offers a playground, sports fields, and two picnic shelters. Franktown is also close to the Miller Activity Complex in Castle Rock, which holds an amphitheater, adventure playground, zipline, trails, and sits on 300 acres. Another nearby outdoor attraction is Castlewood Canyon State Park, where nature lovers enjoy rock climbing, hiking, and scenic areas. As far as dining, Adriana’s Mexican Restaurant is among the most popular in town, however there is more great dining in Castle Rock and Parker. Franktown residents are also just a short journey from the Castle Rock Outlets, one of the most visited South Denver shopping areas. Between Franktown, Parker, and Castle Rock, there are plenty of schools to choose from, public, private, and charter.
