Federal Heights is a small community located twelve miles northwest of Denver. It sits in Adams County and has a population of over 12,000. The city is just under 2 square miles.
Federal Heights maintains two parks but is right next to Hyland Hills which maintains 27 parks that include sports fields, tennis courts, disc golf, swimming pools, and a skate park. There are also three recreation centers at Hyland Hills. Federal Heights offers delicious ethnic restaurants, such as Mediterranean and Japanese dishes. It is also close to multiple shopping malls. Federal Heights is home to Water World, one of the largest water parks in the county and one of the greatest attractions in the Denver area.
Residents of Federal Heights have numerous schools to choose from, including both public and charter. The drive to downtown Denver from the community takes about 15-20 minutes. The median home price in this area hangs around the low $400,000’s range.
