Hardwood selected, drywall hung and taped
As noted in the previous post I decided to go with Homerwood 3" and 5" plank flooring. Due to pressure from Craig's pricing, Lehnert came down to 8.60/ft installed. They plan to start on the 17th I think.
Drywall is hung, mostly taped. We're a few weeks behind schedule. Doug thought Drywall would take ten days, but I think we are going on three weeks. They put up some sample textures and we chose one (light hand trowel)
The garage remodel is almost done. The barnwood siding looks good, but I really wish I would have insisted on a fixed bid for this-- it has taken about 7 days (2 guys a day). I'm afraid to see the bill.
I ordered cabinet knobs, etc tonight. Cabinet company says they need them by next week. They plan to install the base cabinets week of Jan 8th.
The front door will be done next week.
It looks like the hardwood guy and trimmers will be wanting to start work about the same time so they'll have to work around each other.
We also picked the stucco texture last week, but I guess it has been too windy for them to put on the final color coat (should just take a day or two).
