Slow progress on the drywall

It's been a while since an update, but progress has been relatively slow. The drywallers finally started around 11/23, but were only on the job for a day or two. They worked Monday and Tuesday this week, but it was cold with a big snowstorm so they were gone Wed and Thursday. They were back today. All told I think they have put in about three full days, and it is a crew of 3-4 guys. They have another couple days to go hanging the drywall. Then about another week and a half to tape and texture.

The furnaces are all now operating so hopefully the weather won't slow down any inside work. We do need a warm up to finish the outside stucco. I'm glad we started the house when we did or it seems like we would have a lot of slow downs due to weather.

Electricians continued to work on the garage rewire.

Electricians showed up to start work on rewiring the old detached garage.

Luckily the gas meter was hooked up today.

Met Pete and Todd

Stucco crew has continued to work on the the band below the stucco (we have a darker colored band that sticks out (made of foam) below the roof line. Of course it got too cold Wednesday and snowed so they have been gone the rest of this week.

I met Todd and Pete, the finisher carpenters today. Very nice guys. I gave them an itemized list of everything that needs to be done and asked for bids on each item (except of course the door, window and baseboard trim which is a given). They said they would be in the house for about 2 1/2 months, so I can see the time crunch is beginning.

It's very cold outside.
