Finally ready for inspections
The fire sprinklers were finally inspected today. This inspection occurs by the fire department and has to happen before the other county rough inspections can be completed. We’re about two weeks behind schedule now, in part because of the fire sprinklers dragging on, but realistically we were delayed a couple weeks on framing over some of the structural issues.
The framers were finishing a few last minute items today. It appears that the electricians finished up a couple of days ago and have the vacuum system and low voltage done as well. I decided to install a ceiling mounted projector with a Dolby 7 channel surround sound system, so it was helpful to get the wiring done now. I ran composite video, s video, plain old RCA, and a HDMI cable to the projector so we should be covered for all connections. The plumbers had a few items to complete, but I assume they were out today to finish.
Doug had to get an original stamped letter from the soil engineer (which I had, so I took it to him) and the structural engineer saying they had inspected the foundation.
Rough inspections of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and framing are scheduled for Monday. Assuming Tuesday to correct a few items, and Wednesday to re-inspect, we should be on for insulating Thursday-Friday and dry walling the following week.
Excel was also out starting the gas hookup which is important to have so we can have heat during the drywall stage, The stucco guys have scaffolding on site so they should start soon weather permitting.
Garage doors were put up a couple days ago as well.
