Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas.
They got a little of the stucco color coat up a week ago before the big snowstorm. We had 2 feet of snow on 12/21 so that slowed things down for a day on the inside, but I suspect a week or more outside. I don't think the stucco (and then stone) is extremely time critical anyway.
The drywallers have been pretty slow (actually pretty fast when they are working). They have now finished the texture on the main floor as off last Tuesday. The hardwood crew then got all of the hardwood laid working last Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. They had a crew of 4-5 guys. They will just lay it now, they'll come back and sand and finish after the trim carpenters are almost done.
Drywallers are still finishing the upstairs and basement. Plus they need to sand all the hand texture (Kaly and I were worried when we first saw it because it looked too thick, but once they sand it it should look good).
Trim carpenters should start tomorrow or Wednesday. Front door should be delivered tomorrow as well. Paint can start now or (primer) or later, so that's not critical.
Cabinets were to be delivered week of Jan 9th, but now it will be week of Jan 22nd.
The roof was put on the barn last week before the snow. Siding was finish. Electrical is done, but some open inspection items on that. Then drywall needs to be patched.
I've been waiting for the best deal on appliances, and I see that Great Indoors has a 20% rebate starting tomorrow so I'm going to get appliances. That will save be a couple thousand dollars n Monogram appliances.
