The City of Westminster is a home rule municipality located in Adams County and Jefferson County of the State of Colorado. Westminster is a suburb of Denver. As of ²005, the city is estimated to have a total population of 105,084. Westminster is the seventh most populous city in the State of Colorado and the ²35th most populous city in the United States. In July, ²006, it was ranked as the ²4th best place to live in the USA by Money magazine.Westminster's Demographics:
As of the census of ²000, there were 100,940 people, 38,343 households, and ²6,034 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,²36.9/km² (3,²03.9/mi²). There were 39,318 housing units at an average density of 481.8/km² (1,²48.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the city was 84.19% White, 1.²3% African American, 0.74% Native American, 5.48% Asian, 0.08% Pacific Islander, 5.5²% from other races, and ².76% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 15.²3% of the population. There were 38,343 households out of which 35.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.6% were married couples living together, 9.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 3².1% were non-families. ²3.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 4.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was ².6² and the average family size was 3.15. In the city the population was spread out with ²6.9% under the age of 18, 9.6% from 18 to ²4, 36.0% from ²5 to 44, ²1.0% from 45 to 64, and 6.5% who were 65 years of age or older.
