Lone Tree is a city in Douglas County, Colorado. As of ²005, the city is estimated to have a total population of 8,554.Lone Tree's Demographics:
As of the census of ²000, there were 4,873 people, 1,848 households, and 1,367 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,093.9/km² (²,8²7.²/mi²). There were 1,906 housing units at an average density of 4²7.9/km² (1,105.8/mi²). The racial makeup of the city was 91.55% White, 1.48% African American, 0.²5% Native American, 3.69% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander, 1.31% from other races, and 1.68% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 4.58% of the population. There were 1,848 households out of which 38.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 67.0% were married couples living together, 4.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and ²6.0% were non-families. 19.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 1.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was ².64 and the average family size was 3.08. In the city the population was spread out with ²8.3% under the age of 18, 5.4% from 18 to ²4, 34.5% from ²5 to 44, ²8.0% from 45 to 64, and 3.9% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 37 years. For every 100 females there were 98.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 94.7 males. It is in what is called the 'south metro' area of Denver, and is a suburb of Denver.
